dc.description.abstractThis research study attempts to examine the factors that affect the job satisfaction of engineers working in the Small Power Producer in Thailand. For this purpose, after the extensive literature review, the qualitative approach was used as a research method. The interview questions were developed and face to face interviews were conducted to determine the factors affecting the engineers’ job satisfaction. The respondents for the research comprised 8 engineers who were selected by the purposive sampling method. The results of the study revealed that the job satisfaction of the engineers was influenced by many factors, including teamwork and co-workers, salary, career advancement, supervision, the work itself and the distance between home and workplace. On the other hand, it was found that the demographic variables (age and length of service) have no significant effect on job satisfaction. To improve engineers’ job satisfaction in the organization studied and to lead the way for future studies, the findings about job satisfaction and recommendations are discussed.-
