Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to explore the culture shock and cross-cultural experiences of European Expats living in Thailand and observe the impact of Cultural Intelligence in the management of those experiences. This research was held by collecting data from interviewing six Europeans and inviting them to complete a Cultural Intelligence self-assessment. The Theory of Cultural Intelligence developed by Early and Ang in 2003 will be used for the analysis of both the cultural differences exposed by the interviewees and the results obtained from the participants’ reflections for the Cultural Intelligence self-assessment. The observations will reflect whether Cultural Intelligence can have an impact on the management of Culture Shock and cross-cultural experiences in Thailand.
