Abstract: This paper will introduce the study of how does IT change impact the whole organization and how do people deal with it to make the change successful as desired. The topic was chosen due to the fact that the change was implemented in a global organization while the change impact and coverage area focuses on Thailand. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the change process used inside a global organization, and then identify the obstacles, inconsistencies, and redundancies. The information was collected using in-depth interviews and non-participant observation techniques. The case was analyzed and discussed in terms of IT change management using Kotter’s eight steps of Change Process. The change process in this case went through very well and was success both in terms of effectiveness and cost efficiency. Kotter’s eight steps of Change Process are an excellent starting point for an organizational change since the model places most emphasis on building coalition and setting the vision.
