dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this paper is to examine issues of recruiting for the Japanese companies in Thailand and elaborate the impact of localization in human resource perspective. The paper uses secondary data of questionnaire, a primary date of web survey and case study analysis by interviews. The study reveals Thai employees don’t prefer to work for Japanese descent companies because they feel a limitation of career development thorough internal promotions. They focus career development and higher compensation as a result of career success. Japanese descent companies are possible to improve the positioning in recruiting by providing career developing planning and career path with localization process. It impacts not only the motivation and the commitment of employees but also connects to local community and employers’ brand as well.
