Abstract: | During my past and present internships, I had the opportunity to work on projects that were newly developed in those companies. It has raised my curiosity and interest to explore and learn more about project management, strategy, and their correlation. That is why, in this paper, I will explore the following statement: the increasing importance of dealing with strategic topics in project mode. I will also point occurring impacts and describe how it was implemented based on a real case situation (I was asked by the company to keep confidential some elements, but still feel that we can understand the process). I will also underline some challenges linked to the implementation. Defining the terms of strategy, project management and strategic project management is an important prerequisite to set the context in which the case study that follows is based on. This analysis should allow to explore in a real business context, how those companies (and probably many other groups) manage and deal with those key subjects and how each decision taken may have serious impacts on the success or failure of their strategic vision. |
