Abstract: The aim of this thematic paper is to study key success factors of the franchise business focusing on the restaurant segment. Restaurant X will be chosen for a case study. To start with, the author has critically reviewed on benefits and key success factors for franchise business from secondary data sources. The primary data will obtain from the owner of 3 different branches under the same brand and another owner of Sushimai which has been successful invest in the franchise business. The data will be analyzed compared with Chapter 2 based on the data from secondary sources on how they fail to try to expand. In the end, the conclusion and recommendation will be provided for investors and business owners considering expanding by adopting the franchise method.
